I Toni from Blue Moon Crochet

I was flicking through some of my favourite blogs the other day and realised that I really don’t post as often as I should. I’ve only been blogging for a couple of months so I’m still trying to learn the basics! Sometimes I post often and sometime times I only post once a month (naughty blogger!) This is mainly because I chose to crochet items that take more than a few weeks to make and seeing as though I have a full time job as well, I really only get time to crochet in the late evenings and weekends, meaning it takes me a few weeks to finish bigger garments. My sisters Solid Granny Square Cardigan took me about 3 weeks to make and about a day to edit some pictures, draft a blog post and publish it. You can read about it here.

I’m currently in the middle of crocheting another garment that is quite big, (update I’ve now finished and you can read about it here) as well as dipping in and out of learning some new stitches and making a few commission pieces for friends.  I’m also crocheting my bouquet and bunting (no piccies of this at the mo, I’m planning on a reveal after we’re married) for my wedding next year and have also dusted off my knitting needles. Here is a sneak peek at what I have on my hook & needles at the moment.

Squishy Bernat Baby Blanket Yarn – A commission piece for a friend.
A few things on my hook for moi to wear…

To top all of that I have also decided to start designing. This is an exciting step for me as it means getting to grips with writing patterns and hopefully seeing other crocheters use my patterns in their own unique way.  Don’t get me wrong my 1st design isn’t going to be a cable stitch jumper with an open back or anything but I hope to get there one day. If anyone has any tips or blogs to help with sizing maths I would be truly grateful!

But for now I Toni from Blue Moon Crochet Blog do solemnly swear to post more blogs on a weekly basis…

If you would like to see anything in particular on my blog let me know in the comments.
