I’m really happy to be sharing with you my Sugar Frosted Bobble Hat and yes honestly guys, I really did make this in one day. A super easy lazy Sunday make. Perfect huh?!
Lemme’ start by talking about the yarn I used, its by MillaMia Sweden and is made of super squishy 100% merino wool. Its an absolute dream to work with and has an incredible amount of bounce and stretch which is why I designed the hat in one size. The shades this yarn comes in are totally dreamy too, all the pastels you can think of which is right up my street. I couldn’t resist this gorgeous blush pink..
The stitch I used for this gem is the double crochet cable stitch, I am absolutely loving a textured stitch at the moment. Ever since I designed my Brickfield Infinity Cowl I have been in love with combining 2 stitches to create lots of interesting texture. I think this stitch is an amazing introduction to beginners to the technique of crossing stitches. I love how it creates the illusion of stitches changing places!
The hat is designed for a woman’s head and is one size. I have, as always included instructions in the notes of my pattern on how to customize the pattern to make it fit better. So enough jabbering, here’s what you’ll need and how to get a pattern.
