With winter now in full swing I’m super excited to bring this simple boyfriend cardi to my blog. It’s lightweight yet very cosy and warm so is perfect for those chilly morning walks.

My cardi is a relaxed and easy make with no increasing or decreasing. It has an open and airy look but by using aran yarn it retains its warmth and cosyness. The pattern uses only 3 basic stitches, good ol’ dc, hdc and sc. The main body of the cardi is made in one piece and sewn at the sides so I’ve even taken out some of the seaming duties at the end! Piece of cake!

The cardigan is perfect to throw on over a t-shirt with some jeans and converse and I think the more you wear it the more character it will have.

In the pattern you will find a 6 page pdf file with full written instructions and stitch counts for sizes XS-XL, detailed assembly instructions with photo references and handy tips throughout to help crocheting (or not sewing in ends.. ;)) much easier.

I hope you enjoy making and wearing this cardi as much I did!
